New discussionBaths or showers or hot tubs work wonders! The second my feet touch the water in a swirling hot tub or steamy bath my RLS symptoms go away.
For showers I use hot water for a rinse off and then crank it over to full on cold. In the summer it's pretty easy and I can finish the rest of the shower that way, but in the winter when water is almost ice cold it gets a little harder. But either way these all help take away RLS creepy, crawly, tickly sensations in my legs and arms and even shoulders at times.
The symptoms return as soon as i get out of the water, but at least I had a few minutes of rest (no pun intended) and relaxation.
Every time I tell someone I have RLS they ask me if I've checked my iron and if I'm taking magnesium. I groan inside but smile and assure them I've tried it all. Except for the bar of soap at the feet of the bed under the sheets... that one just seemed, well... ya know.
But what has legit worked for you?
